BURN THE BOATS
'You tell me I'm free but you won't let go'
"Burn the Boats" is a co-write by Arne Van Haecke, Steven Vergauwen. The song describes a relationship on the edge of breaking apart. She is telling him to move on, yet she has her own issues and is struggling of letting go of the past. The mention of "burning the boats" is a commitment to moving forward and not looking back. Overall, the lyrics convey a mix of emotions related to freedom, commitment, and the desire to find one's way.
GLOW
'Just you and me'
"Glow" was inspired by a journey through Australia, describing the feeling of being together with no one else around. The fingerstyle picking guitar gives the song a laidback feel, as if you were driving around while the sun is setting behind the horizon.
After meeting with Tom Vanstiphout, we adapted the song to with it is now. Working together with Tom was an absolute blessing for me. The song has been with me for a while, and I'm excited to share it with all of you.
SPACE ENGINEER
'You could be what dreams are made of'
This song holds a profound meaning for me. I wrote it as a way to process the loss of one of my best friends from high school, Glenn, who tragically passed away in an accident. He had so much potential and a bright future ahead of him. Even now, I find myself wondering what he would have accomplished. Would he have become a space engineer or perhaps a traveler exploring the sun?
I still remember our first surfing experience together during a youth trip to France. With the release of this song, I feel like I’m honoring his memory and ensuring he is never forgotten.
BIG SWIM
'With every step you'll find a new horizon'
Big Swim symbolizes taking a huge leap of faith into the unknown. Sometimes, you have to take that first step to confront a significant challenge in life. The first step is often the hardest, but if you feel compelled to move forward, don’t hesitate—dive in and embrace the unknown. When faced with a challenge that feels overwhelming, just take that first step, and the rest will follow. So, jump!

"Surfing and music blend together to produce a pleasant harmony that stretches beyond the horizon of the vast ocean"
